Sound design is one of the most underrated elements of filmmaking, but it is truly one of the most critical. The very best audio teams are the ones who can create a meticulous and robust “feast for the ears”, truly enhancing the audience’s experience without their even realizing it. Daniel and Carlos bring that level of artistry and craftsmanship to their work. It was an absolute pleasure working with them on our award-winning feature documentary First Lady of the Revolution. They helped create a soundtrack that leaves the audience with emotional memory. If we needed to capture a vintage 1940’s Harley engine, they found it; if we needed the cacophony of an unruly demonstration, they recorded it; if we needed a subtle musical transition or cue to bolster the resonance of the score, Carlos wrote to picture and played it. Their multifaceted talents helped shape and carry the emotional tone of our film. Can’t wait to start our next project together!
